In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
بِسْمِbis'miIn (the) nameٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) God,ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāniMost Gracious,ٱلرَّحِيمِl-raḥīmiMost Merciful.
[105:1] Have you noted what your Lord did to the people of the elephant?
أَلَمْalamHave notتَرَtarayou seeكَيْفَkayfahowفَعَلَfaʿala[He] dealtرَبُّكَrabbukayour Lordبِأَصْحَـٰبِbi-aṣḥābiwith (the) companions (of)ٱلْفِيلِl-fīlithe elephant? ﴿١﴾
[105:2] Did He not cause their schemes to backfire?
أَلَمْalamDid notيَجْعَلْyajʿalHe makeكَيْدَهُمْkaydahumtheir plan / schemeفِىfī[with]تَضْلِيلٍtaḍlīlinit go astray (backfire)? ﴿٢﴾
[105:3] He sent upon them swarms of birds.
وَأَرْسَلَwa-arsalaAnd He sentعَلَيْهِمْʿalayhimagainst themطَيْرًاṭayranbirdsأَبَابِيلَabābīla(in) flocks. ﴿٣﴾
[105:4] That showered them with hard stones.
تَرْمِيهِمtarmīhimIt casting / showering themبِحِجَارَةٍbiḥijāratinwith stonesمِّنminofسِجِّيلٍsijjīlin[stones of] baked clay / brimstone. ﴿٤﴾
[105:5] He made them like chewed up hay.
فَجَعَلَهُمْfajaʿalahumThen He made themكَعَصْفٍkaʿaṣfinlike hayمَّأْكُولٍۭmakūlinchewed up. ﴿٥﴾
