In the name of GOD, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
بِسْمِbis'miIn (the) nameٱللَّهِl-lahi(of) God,ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِl-raḥmāniMost Gracious,ٱلرَّحِيمِl-raḥīmiMost Merciful.
[101:1] The Shocker.
ٱلْقَارِعَةُal-qāriʿatuThe Shocker! ﴿١﴾
[101:2] What a shocker!
مَاmāWhat (is)ٱلْقَارِعَةُl-qāriʿatuthe Shocker? ﴿٢﴾
[101:3] Do you have any idea what the Shocker is?
وَمَآwamāAnd what*أَدْرَىٰكَadrākait will make you know* (*do you know)مَاmāwhatٱلْقَارِعَةُl-qāriʿatuthe Shocker (is)? ﴿٣﴾
[101:4] That is the day when the people come out like swarms of butterflies.
يَوْمَyawma(The) Dayيَكُونُyakūnu[he] will beٱلنَّاسُl-nāsuthe peopleكَٱلْفَرَاشِkal-farāshilike [the] moths / butterflies,ٱلْمَبْثُوثِl-mabthūthithose scattered. ﴿٤﴾
[101:5] The mountains will be like fluffy wool.
وَتَكُونُwatakūnuAnd [it] will beٱلْجِبَالُl-jibāluthe mountainsكَٱلْعِهْنِkal-ʿih'nilike [the] woolٱلْمَنفُوشِl-manfūshi[the] fluffy. ﴿٥﴾
[101:6] As for him whose weights are heavy.
فَأَمَّاfa-ammāThen as forمَنmanwhoseثَقُلَتْthaqulat[it] became heavyمَوَٰزِينُهُۥmawāzīnuhuhis scales, ﴿٦﴾
[101:7] He will lead a happy (eternal) life.
فَهُوَfahuwaThen heفِىfīinعِيشَةٍʿīshatinexistence / life,رَّاضِيَةٍrāḍiyatinsatisfied / happy. ﴿٧﴾
[101:8] As for him whose weights are light.
وَأَمَّاwa-ammāBut as forمَنْmanwhoseخَفَّتْkhaffat[it] became lightمَوَٰزِينُهُۥmawāzīnuhuhis scales, ﴿٨﴾
[101:9] His destiny is lowly.
فَأُمُّهُۥfa-ummuhuThen his abode / destiny (is)هَاوِيَةٌhāwiyatunlowest pit of Hell / abyss / lowly. ﴿٩﴾
[101:10] Do you know what it is?
وَمَآwamāAnd what*أَدْرَىٰكَadrākait will make you know (*do you know)مَاmāwhatهِيَهْhiyahit is? ﴿١٠﴾
[101:11] The blazing Hellfire.
نَارٌnārunA Fire,حَامِيَةٌۢḥāmiyatunblazing. ﴿١١﴾
